Brilex responded with 4 runs in the 3rd to cut the lead to 12-7. Kapturasky batted 3 for 3 as he added a 2-run HR in the 4th and pitched well in relief over the final two innings to preserve the win. Brilex's offense was led by Michael Bianco, Anthony Linert and Donchess with two hits each. Superior's Kyle Stratton and Shane Dillon also had two hits. |

The continuation of a hard fought game that was suspended on 5/7/09 after 7 innings. On 5/7/09, Brilex and starting pitcher Aaron Jenkins took an early 5-0 lead after three innings highlighted by Kyle Benyo's 2-run homer in the 1st and singles by Michael Bianco, Anthony Linert and Jenkins in the 3rd. Superior's Dylan Latone pitched well in relief to allow Superior to mount a comeback including a 3-run 6th inning to take a one run lead. Latone also had a good night at the plate as he and Shane Dillon led Superior with two hits each. Brilex sent the game into extra innings on a clutch two-out hit by Chance Rich in the bottom of the 6th. Both teams went scoreless in the 7th inning as the game ended that night as Benyo hit a towering fly ball that was caught just short of the center field fence by John Hintz for the final out. On 5/23/09, Superior's Jared Kapturasky scored on Jared Latone's RBI single in the top of the 8th. Brilex tied the game when Justyn Madick scored and won the game on a RBI single by Austin Gay scoring Scott Davis who doubled. |
