6/14 ECMSI 16-7 Flynn's Tire
ECMSI and Flynn's closed out their 2009 season with a bang. Superb defense and some big hits highlighted the second half this back-2-back games by these teams. Apparently, being a visitor in this matchup is the advantage. ECMSI played a slow steady grinding game against the short-handed Flynn's to secure the #1 seed. ECMSI was lead at the plate by Kole Kasic going 4/4 with 4 RBI's and a first inning dinger. He also drove home the deciding run in the top of the 6th while earning his second game ball of the season. To round out his game, he made an awesome stop over second base to end the 5th. King(4RBI) was 4/4 as well. Bender(2RBI) was 3/3 with the second team homer and made a sick catch at second to freeze out the 2nd inning. Russo(RBI) was 3/4. Kolin Learn(RBI), Kimble and Rader were also 2/3. Flynn's also had their strong performers today. Pitko(RBI) was 3/3. Brooks(2RBI), Leskovac(2RBI) and Hoffman(RBI) were all 2/3. Tommy Leskovac made an outstanding catch at pitcher on a line drive. Great game boys and nice job to all the teams on their '09 regular season. Good luck to all in the playoffs.
6/12 Flynn's Tire 21-12 ECMSI
WHAT A GAME! Flynn's bats are hot as they jump out to an early 7-0 lead after one. ECMSI's bats come alive in the second as they put up 7 making the score 10-7 Flynns after two. Flynns puts up 3 while ECMSI scores one in the third and 4 in the fourth making the score 13-12 Flynns after four innings. Flynns scores 4 in the fifth and then goes on to hold the heart of ECMSI's order scoreless. Flynns adds 4 more in the top of the 6th to go on for the win. Too many names to mention as this was a great team effort by both squads. Rubber match between these two teams on Sunday should be another thriller. Both teams are looking forward to the playoffs which are shaping up to be real exciting.
6/10 ECMSI 28-9 Robert Senn Studios
Heat, humidity and lots of hits. Robert Senn started slow but had a huge 4th inning putting up 6 runs but it wasn't enough in the end. ECMSI put on a batting clinic with everyone reaching base at least twice. Stone Bender was tops tonight hitting the cycle and going 4/4 with 4 RBI's and a homer earning him his second game ball of the year. Not to be outdone, Russo(2RBI), Klasic(4RBI) and Kimble((RBI) were all 4/4. Ohl and Andino(2RBI) were both 3/3. King(3RBI), Konnor Learn(2RBI), Kolin Learn(3RBI) and Leif(2RBI) were all 3/4. Rader and Bernard each added 2 hits. Head-up play by Russo at pitcher tagging out the running going home. Robert Senn had their hitters as well. Tyler Purnell was a monster going 3/3 with 4RBI's and a GRAND SLAM!! Gilles and Ashley(RBI) were also 3/3. Kluchar, Coleman and Jordan(RBI) were also 2/2. Great job boys. Hopefully everyone saved some hits for the playoffs.
6/07 Dunkin Donuts 9-21 ECMSI
ECMSI bounced back from their first loss of the season by defeating Dunkin Donuts 21-9. With coaches on the DL, ECMSI went to the bull pen and brought in their southpaw, Coach G who finished strong after a shaky start (8 K's). Both teams played hard but in the end ECMSI would not be denied. The Vipers were lead by Russo going 4/4 with a homer and 4 RBI's and Klasic 4/4, HR and 3 RBI's. Bender(3RBI) also added a HR. Andino(RBI) was also 4/4. King(3RBI) and Konnor Lear were both 3/4. Kimble(2RBI) and Ohl were both 3/3 with Bernard and Rader going 2/3 earning Rader his second game ball of the year. Bender in the 3rd was credited for an inning ending unassisted double play. Dunkin was lead by Lucas(2RBI) going 3/3 and Devin(RBI), Nick(RBI) both going 2/2. Jon, Anthony(2RBI) and Matt were all 2/3. Great game boys.
6/04 Atway & Cochran 13-4 ECMSI
Wow! Excellent game. A&C is led by Ethan Cochran 4-4, Michael Johns 3-4, Kenny Misik 4-4 and Jordan Vaught 3-4. Kenny Misik pounded the ball all day. Great defense by Misik, Johns and Cochran, in fact, the whole team. ECMI was led by Stone Bender and Cole Klasic at the plate and in the field.
6/02 ECMSI 11-5 Kalra Orthodontics
Empty out the ball bucket coaches. Game balls for everone!!! ECMSI had the hitters when they needed them. Russo(RBI), Konnor Learn(RBI) and Kolin Learn(3RBI) were all 3/3. King, Bender(3RBI), Klasic(3RBI, HR) and Kimble were all 2/3 on the day. Bender chases a deep pop-up from 1st base and makes an out then contributes with Andino for a 1-5 DP in the 6th to help secure the win on defense. King makes an awesome backhanded stop for the 4-6 force out to Klasic in the 3rd inning. Kalra was big on the day as well. Eric(RBI) and Nick B(RBI) were 3/3 on the day. Pat, Casey(RBI), Damien(RBI), Jessie and Nick R were all 2/3 at the plate. In the 3rd inning, Klasic scalds one to the outfield and Bokesch makes a spectacular catch in LC field denying him of a potential 3 run homer. Awesome play!!! Great game fellas. I can't wait till the next one.
5/31 Modern Optical 7-13 ECMSI
Lots of hits in this game and great defense as well. ECMSI had a monster day at the plate with Russo(RBI), King(2RBI) and Klasic(4RBI) all going 3/3 and each with a homer. Bender(3RBI,3Tripples), Konner Learn(RBI) and Koling Learn were all 3/3 as well. Andino rounded off the hitting going 2/3 with a RBI. Ohl had his best day hitting of the year almost taking off my head TWICE!! and earned the game ball. Modern Optical was lead by David K(RBI) and Coleman both going 3/3. Jeff(2RBI), David S(RBI), Matt(RBI) and Caleb(RBI) were all 2/3. Great defensive stop by Colgan at the mound in the 2nd inning.  Lots of excitement in this one. Great game boys!!!
5/30 Aqua Ohio 2-13 ECMSI
Great game by both teams. ECMSI was lead by King going 3/3 with a HR. Also going 3/3 were Bender and Konnor Learn. Russo and Klasic were both 2/3 and each hit a homer. Kolin Learn and Kimble were also 2/3. Lief Walters has 2 very strong hits and drove in runs and earned the ECMSI game ball. From Aqua Ryan, Garrett, Nate, Blake, Chris and Ross all had 2 hits each with Chris and Ross both perfect going 2/2. Nice job boys. Keep on swinging.
5/21 Robert Senn Studios 11-23 ECMSI
At the half way point of the season ECMSI extended their record to 10-0 by edging out Roberts Senn, 23-11. From ECMSI, Klasic was once again tops going 4/4, HR and 4 RBI's. Also going 4/4 were Russo, King(3RBI) and Bender(2RBI). Konnor Learn(5RBI), Kimble(2RBI) and Bernard(3RBI) were all 3/3. King earned the game ball for his big day as he celebrated his birthday. Great defensive 1-4 double play in the 2nd inning by ECMSI. Roberts Senn also brought the bats with Tyler(3RBI) and Cameron(2RBI) going 3/3. Chris(2RBI), Marc(RBI), Patrick, Andrew(2RBI) and Chris(#2) were all 2/3 with Andrew(#7) going 2/2 with an RBI. Fun was had by all and smiles were shared in the pavilion. Great game boys.
5/19 ECMSI 18-7 Dunkin Donuts
Lots of big hitting in this one as both teams had batters with perfect hitting on the day. ECMSI jumped out to a 7-0 lead after 2 innings but Dunkin had a 6 run 3rd inning to make things interesting. ECMSI caught heat and finished the game with a score of 18-7. ECMSI was lead by Bender and Klasic. Both players were studs, going 4/4 with a HR and 4 RBI's each! King was 4/4, Kimble was 3/3(RBI) and Andino(3RBI) and Kolin Learn(2RBI) were 3/4 with Learn earning the game ball for his big time hits and great defensive play. Dunkin was not to be outdone as Matt was 3/3(3RBI), Gavin 3/3(3RBI) and Jon was 3/3. Nick was also perfect going 2/2. Seth and Jacob each were 2/3. Great game kids and good luck.
5/17 ECMSI 17-13 Atway & Cochran
The evening air was about the only thing cool in this game as both teams scorched the score card. Both teams played close through the entire game but it was the final two defensive innings for ECMSI that were the difference. ECMSI was lead by Stone Bender going 4/4 with 5 RBI's and an HR. Also going 4/4 were King, Klasic(3RBI) and Konnor Learn(3RBI). Konnor earned the game ball with his huge day at the plate. Russo and Andino(3RBI) were 3/4 while Kimble and Bernard were 2/3. Klasic had a huge 6th inning defensively with an unassisted Double Play at 1st base. From Atway & Cochran, Misik was an impressive 4/4 with 4RBI's and Johns was 4/4. Cochran went 3/4(RBI) and Davis was 3/3(RBI). Bashaw, Scraggs and Porter(RBI) were all 2/3. Johns made a sick catch at SS in 1st inning (we are still waiting on the blood test results). This game was as exciting as you could ask for and both teams played their hearts out. Congrats to both teams.
5/15 Kalra Orthodontics 13-14 ECMSI
You say you like great baseball with great weather? This one had it. Do you love power hitting and game changing defensive plays? Plenty of that too. In a game for the 7-8 boys division lead, this game had everything you could ask for. Kalra jumped out to an 3-11 lead after 2 innings but ECMSI blanked Kalra in 3 of the next 4 innings and woke the bats up to tie the game and score the winning run in the bottom of the 6th. Bender lead ECMSI in hitting going 3/3 with 2RBI's and a HR. He also combined with Russo on a 1-3 double play while earning him the game ball. Klasic was also 3/3(RBI) and a HR. Russo went 4/4 and King 3/4(RBI). Andino(2RBI), Kolin Learn and Kimble(3RBI) were all 3/3. Kalra too had their power hitters. Basista had a huge night going 3/3 with 6RBI's and a HR. Casey B, Damien(RBI) and Nick B all went 3/3. Garrett M(2RBI), Jessie V and Caleb all went 2/3. This game was an instant classic and there should be some great drama in the next meeting. Great game kids.
5/14 ECMSI 15-12 Modern Optical
Lots of hits and great defense highlighted this back and forth battle of two very well matched teams. In the end, ECMSI got the node holding off Modern Optical's 6th inning charge. ECMSI's Klasic was strong at the plate going 4/4 with 7RBI's and a HR earning him the game ball. Also going 4/4 were Russo and Bender(3RBI). King was 3/4 and Andino(RBI) and Kimble(2RBI) were 3/3. Modern Optical's Knox was tops going 4/4 with 4 RBI's and a HR.. Going 3/4 were Dinard(2RBI), Miskell(2RBI), Kollar(RBI) and Bucci(RBI). This was an excellent game with both teams showing that they can play on both sides of the ball. Good luck kids.
5/08 Aqua Ohio 9-13 ECMSI
This game was a mudfest but both teams were eager to play thier best in thier Libbee night debutes. Both teams had power hitting and outstanding defensive plays but in the end ESMCI held off the Aqua Ohio charge and improve to 5-0 on the season. Klasic lead ECMSI at the plate going 3/3 with 3 RBI's. Bender was also 3/3. Russo(RBI), King(RBI), Konnor Learn(2RBI), Kolin Learn, Walters(RBI) and Kimble(3RBI's) were all 2/3. Dante Bernard earned the game ball with his clutch 5th inning hit driving in 2 runs. Aqua Ohio was equally impressive at the plate lead by Blake Jeffries going 3/3 with 3 RBI's. Ryan and Blake K also were 3/4 on the night. Great game boys and way to get this one in before the skies opened up.
5/07 ECMSI 14-3 Armstrong Cable

ECMSI and Armstong Cable met for the second time in 9 days. ECMSI came out strong and both teams finished strong with ECMSI getting the decision at a score of 14-3. At the plate, ECMSI was lead by Bender (6RBI's) and Klasic (3RBI's, HR) going 3/3 each. Also going 3/3 were Russo and Andino(RBI). King, Konnor Learn and Kolin Learn(3RBI) were all 2/3. Nico Andino earned the ECMSI gameball with his impressive batting day and also accounting for 2 outs at 3rd base in the 3rd inning. Armstrong cable was also strong at the plate with Noah, Brennen, Chris(RBI) and Matt all going 2/2. Great game kids. Keep swinging!!!

5/03 Flynn's Tire 7-11 ECMSI
This game was a back and forth battle but in the end ECMSI was victorious with a score of 7-11. Batting from ECMSI was lead by Russo, King(2RBI) and Bender(2RBI) all going 3/3. Klasic(3RBI) and Andino(2RBI) were 2/3 as well. Russo earned the game ball with his impressive hitting and his great defensive effort including contributing to a double play. From Flynn's, Pitko(RBI) and Hoffman(RBI) were both 3/3. Bretsik and Leskovac(RBI) were also 2/3. Good play from both sides on a perfect May evening.
4/29 ECMSI 15-5 Armstrong Cable
ECMSI came out firing with an 8 run 1st and finished the game strong with a final score of 15-5. ECMSI was lead by Stone Bender going 3/3 with 4 RBI's. Also from ECMSI going 3/3 were Russo, King(3RBI), Klasic(3RBI) and Konner Learn(RBI). Kimble was 2/2 with 2RBI's. Thomas Rader earned the game ball with a big hit in the 4th inning. From Armstrong Cable going 2/2 and an RBI were Josh and Alex. Also going 2/3 were Robby and Joe. Great game boys and keep up the good work through the season.
4/28 Dunkin Donuts 6-17 ECMSI
ECMSI and Dunkin Donuts opened their 2009 ACB season with a bang. Both teams showed great promise for the upcoming season. Dunkin jumped out to a 3-2 lead in the first inning but then ECMSI caught fire and pulled away to a final score of 6-17. ECMSI was lead by Kole Klasic going 3-3 with 3RBI's and a HR. Also from ECMSI, Russo(2RBI), King and Kimble(2RBI) were all 3/3. Bender(3RBI) and Andino(RBI) were both 2/3. Bernard(RBI), Walters(2RBI) and Ohl(3RBI) were all 2/2. Brock Kimble earned the game ball for his impressive outing at the plate with 2 Doubles and a Triple as part of his overall game. Dunkin Donuts was lead by Christian(RBI) and Jon(2RBI) going 3/3. Gavin(2RBI) and Lucas were both 2/3 as well. Great game played by both. Good luck to both teams in there upcoming seasons.
