In a hard fought battle, the Austintown girls lost their first game. Pitching a great game for Austinton was Sierra Pierce and Madison Johns. Offensively, Brianna Protain led the team with two hits. Still, a great game for the girls.

The Austintown girls won their home opener in the bottom of the seventh scoring three runs to clinch the victory.  Natalie Lynn had the game winning hit scoring Madison Johns.  Earlier in the inning Brianna Protain singled and scored on a hit by Sierra Pierce who also scored on a steal to tie the game.  The offense was led by Protain who went 2 for 3 and Pierce who went 2 for 2.  Defensively, Johns pitched four innings and Pierce pitched three in the victory.  All the girls played hard in their first game.  Congratulations!
